The new (and not improved IMHO) DailyKos 5 is incompatible with the “HTTPS Everywhere” add-on for Firefox. When I first brought up DK5 in my more-than-average-secured Firefox 42.0 on my Win/7 laptop, I got an unusable mess. It appeared like the CSS was not being downloaded. I tried DK5 on Chrome, IE and Safari and they all loaded more or less OK (Safari was missing all the images).
So I finally got time to go thru and binary search for the “offending” add-on. Once I disabled “HTTPS Everywhere” from the Electronic Frontier Foundation DK5 started showing up OK — tho of course agonizingly slow.
Come on guy, the EFF is some of the good guys — you actually do need to support them and their attempts to make the web a less hostile place.
